How does the color change work?

The fabric has a heat-reactive dye. When it warms up to around body temperature — from your breath, skin or hands — it turns from blue to green. When it cools down, it goes back to blue.

Will it still change color in the cold?

Yes. The areas warmed by your breath and face will turn green. In very cold wind the rest of the mask stays blue, which gives it the gradient look.

Does the effect wear off?

The change is reversible and works every time you wear it. To keep it working well, wash it gently by hand in cold water and avoid hot water and the dryer.

Does it fit under a helmet and goggles?

Yes. The fabric is thin and stretchy, so it sits flat under any ski or snowboard helmet, and the eye opening fits standard goggles.
