Nordspur | Brelvo Portable Crank Solar Emergency Radio

When the lights go out and you want to hear what's happening outside, you can wind the crank and tune in.

A power cut is awkward enough without a flat battery in the one thing that gets you the news. This radio has a hand crank, a solar panel on top and a built-in Li-ion battery, and it also takes AAA batteries.

• Crank, solar and USB charging
• Weather band plus AM and FM
• Built-in power bank for phones
• LED flashlight and reading lamp

Several ways to power it
You can wind the crank, leave the solar panel in daylight, plug in a USB cable or drop in AAA batteries. A built-in Li-ion battery is included too.

Weather band and AM/FM
A slide switch moves between WB, FM and AM, so you can listen to the weather band or ordinary stations. The tuning knob and the printed frequency scale are easy to read.

Phone top-up from the power bank
The 2000 mAh power bank has a USB output for charging a phone. That's handy on a camping trip or in a power cut.

Flashlight and reading lamp
There's a built-in LED flashlight with its own button, plus a reading lamp on the back. Use the flashlight to move around outside or the lamp for reading in the tent.
