Nordspur | Pet Cooling Mat

Give Your Dog A Cool Spot To Settle On

Is your dog up and down half the evening, moving from one spot to the next? This is a woven mat for the floor, and it feels cool the moment they lie down on it. The fabric takes heat off your dog and gives it off into the room. One thing worth knowing before it arrives: don't judge it with your hand. Your own palm warms it in seconds. Put it on the floor and let your dog be the one to test it.

It's a flat mat with quilted circles stitched across the top, a bound edge, and a woven mesh side underneath. There's no gel in it and no water, so there's nothing to split open and nothing to keep in the freezer. It comes in six sizes, from one that suits a small terrier up to one a big dog can stretch right out on. The colours are quiet enough to leave out in the lounge room, and cats take to it as readily as dogs.

• Quilted circular stitching
